Reminders About Parents Night Out (Pre-Prep & K-3) & Lock-In (4-8th)
We can't wait to celebrate our Bolts of Blue Campaign with our Lutz Preparatory students!  We know that everyone will have a fun-filled night.  We want to thank our faculty and staff in advance for volunteering to supervise both the Parent Night Out and the Lock-In.  We appreciate everything you do for our students!

Lock-In (Grades 4th-8th)
  • What to Bring:
    • Pillow and sleeping bag and/or blanket for sleeping
    • Cell phones may be brought but will be kept in a secure location overnight by administration.   Under no circumstances will students be allowed to post to any social media during the event.   
  • What to Wear:
    • No pajamas, yoga pants, tank tops or other shirts that are not allowed in accordance with school dress code will be permitted. Students are allowed to wear sports-type shorts that are no shorter than 4 inches above the knee in accordance with Lutz Prep dress code. Students may bring an extra shirt to change into if needed following activities. 
  • Drop Off
    • 6:00-6:30 PM on Friday, November 3rd
  • Pick Up
    • 7:00-7:30 AM on Saturday, November 4th
  • IN CASE OF EMERGENCY, CALL US AT (813) 428-7107

Parents Night Out (Pre-Prep & Kinder) and (1st- 3rd Grades)
  • What to Bring:
    • No need to bring anything.  Cell phones may be brought but will be kept in a secure location during event by administration.
  • What to Wear:
    • Pre-Prep & KG Students: Students may wear school appropriate pajamas with closed toe shoes.
    • 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Gr Students: Students should come in comfortable clothing so as to participate in games and activities. Clothing attire should be in accordance with school dress code. 
  • Drop Off
    • 6:00-6:30 PM on Friday, November 3rd
  • Pick Up
    • 10:00-10:15 PM on Friday, November 3rd

Lost and Found Organizer
Looking for a bi-weekly volunteer to organize and sort through the lost & found and return all labeled items to homeroom teachers.  Please contact Mrs. Feocco directly to discuss.

Lost and Found
Our lost and found is OVERFLOWING - lots of water bottles, lunch boxes, sweaters, and jackets.  Please stop by to look for lost items.  All items will be donated the week before Thanksgiving break.  Please make sure your student's first and last names are on all items.

Report Cards

  • Elementary School Report Cards:  Were sent home with students on Monday, October 30, 2017.    
  • Middle School Report Cards:  Were made available ONLINE ONLY at https://reportcards.sdhc.k12.fl.us/  beginning November 1, 2017.  Parents and guardians can access the report card using the same PIN used to view the report card last school year.  If you have forgotten your PIN, please select "Request a PIN" on the report card website and your PIN will be immediately emailed to you.

Click HERE for a printable order form to pay by cash or check OR pay on the School Store with credit card.  Orders will arrive approximately 2 weeks after the November 6, 2017 deadline and be delivered to the students' homeroom teachers.

PTA News
All Pro Dad Meeting

Hey dads and kids...join us for the November Lutz Prep/Lutz Pre-Prep All Pro Dad - Dad’s and Kid’s Breakfast.  Breakfast and an interactive character building program will be provided.  This month's topic is "Reading".  Team up with other Lutz Prep dads and kids for a quick before-school breakfast.  Doors open at 7:00.  The program starts at 7:15 and ends at 7:45. It’s fun and it’s free.  You and your kids will be glad you came!  Great way to start the morning.  Contact Ryan Martin with any questions.  (martinry@hotmail.com)



2017 PTA Reflections Awards
The National PTA Reflections program encourages students of all grades and abilities to explore and be involved in the arts. Students reflect on a common theme and create original works of art in the categories of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts. The year's theme was "Within Reach” On Friday, October 20th, Lutz Prep Reflections Participants received their awards. All of the artwork from each category will move to the county competition. Congratulations to all of our talented students!

Veteran's Day Program Performed by 2nd Grade 
Second Grade is performing a Veteran’s Day program on Thursday, November 9th, 2017 at 8:00 AM in the gym.  

The entire school is invited to come watch!  We welcome all Veteran's to attend!

Please note: Volunteers who stay after the concert, the entire time to clean up will earn a free-dress pass for their child.

Second grade students performing should wear all navy blue LP uniform tops, bottoms, or dresses. Each class will be singing the song of one of the five branches of the military.

Student Council will be hosting the first middle school dance of the school year on December 1st, 2017 from 6-9 PM. Dance tickets are on sale every morning from 7:30-7:55 by the gym for $5.00 cash (no personal checks), PLEASE see a Student Council member to purchase your ticket. The dance theme is Winter in Paradise with a dress code of Business Causal. What does that look like? Girls can wear jeans, nice shirts, dresses PLEASE no t-shirts and Boys can wear jeans, dress pants , collared shirts, PLEASE no athletic wear or T-shirts.

Reporting Absences:
If your student will be absent for any reason, the preferred method of notification is to send an email to attendance@lutzprep.org (you may also cc your student's teacher).  If needed, you may contact the attendance line at 428-7101 instead of sending an email - you do not need to do both methods.

Donations Needed for Art Classes
Annual DooDad Competition:  
The art department is looking for donations of old maps or old atlas books for a middle school art project.  Please do not purchase anything, just looking for items you no longer use or want.  They need enough for 1st & 2nd semester classes.
