I (Ben) grew up in Brazil as a missionary kid, and my wife and I have served as missionaries in Brazil with TEAM, from 2011-2014. Since 2014 I’ve been leading our Creation Care Initiative, helping other missionaries around the world develop gospel-centered approaches to the environmental degradation we see in so many places.

As of July 15th 2021, my wife and kids and I returned as missionaries to Brazil. We work with TEAM, but we also partnered with another organization called Eden Reforestation Projects for two years. It’s incredible how God has opened the door for us to return to Brazil, and to work here through a very unique opportunity. During these two years (2021-2023), I worked with the poorest of the poor in Brazil to reforest/restore their own lands. Now, if you didn’t know, forests are pretty important...to us as humans, to creation, but also to God. Trees are all throughout the Bible...think about it. From the tree of knowledge of good & evil in Genesis, to the Tree of Life in Revelation...and our Savior Himself was crucified on a tree, to give us eternal life. Trees provide us the oxygen to breath, they clean our air, they feed us, protect us, give us shade, and when they die, they continue providing multiple uses for us. Not just for us humans, but for all of God’s creation. Point is, trees give life.

As of April 2023, we have begun specifically working in 4 spheres of ministry, from our home, to our city, to nationally in Brazil, as well as internationally with TEAM as a consultant for the Creation Care ministries we have with TEAM missionaries as well as other mission agencies.

The amazing opportunity we have in serving here in Brazil is that not only are we planting seeds and trees, we're planting spiritual seeds in each relationship developed, hoping and praying they grow into a forest of believers. This is very exciting for our family.

But I hope it’s encouraging to you too! To see God working in our lives, having prepared us to serve Him in another country... We hope you all are encouraged that God is moving, He is still at work!

So, please, be encouraged by what God is doing in our lives and continues do through us. And please, pray for us as we minister overseas as your hands and feet in Brazil. We are so thankful we have you backing us financially and prayerfully!
