In October 2017, USAID added up to $1.4 billion in new opportunities to the Mission Forecast. Below is a breakdown of the top sectors and countries for these new forecasted opportunities. 

Zimbabwe anticipates a $100M - $300M Global Health cooperative agreement. Biomedical HIV Prevention for Epidemic Control (BPEC) is a Follow on to the PSI SPSS activity, focusing on HIV biomedical prevention strategies including Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision, Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis, condoms, Key Populations and Evidence Generation/Data for Decision-making.

Egypt anticipates four awards totaling $85M - $175M in funding. 1) $25M - $50M Education cooperative agreement entitled Centers of Excellence. 2) $25M - $50M Economic Growth and Trade contract entitled Economic Security, Regional Business, and Trade Development Project. 3) $25M - $50M Agriculture and Food Security contract entitled Feed the Future Egypt Value Added Solutions (EVAS). 4) $10M - $25M Economic Growth and Trade contract entitled Macro-Economic Stabilization Reform.

 
Uganda is forecasted to receive $76M - $151M in total funding. The country anticipates a $50M - $100M Management contract entitled USAID's Learning Contract. Uganda Health Systems Strengthening (UHSS), a $25M - $50M Global Health contract, aims to improve the functionality of the Ugandan health systems by focusing on key public and private sector institutions and community structures at national, district, facility, and community levels. Uganda also anticipates a $500K - $1M Education contract, Performance Evaluation of USAID/Uganda’s programming for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) activities, which has a total small business set-aside. 
 
Ethiopia is forecasted to receive $51M - $104M in Global Health funding. First, a $50M - $100M cooperative agreement, USAID Comprehensive HIV Services for Key and Priority Populations, which will focus on identifying key and priority populations and providing HIV prevention and treatment services and linking with community- and facility-based HIV services across the clinical cascade. Second, a $1M - $4M contract, EHIP Water Supply and Management, which will provide water supply systems for 11 health centers throughout Ethiopia along with comprehensive management training to ensure that the systems can be properly operated and maintained by the health center staff. 

Afghanistan anticipates a $50M - $100M Economic growth and Trade cooperative agreement. The Afghanistan Jobs Creation Program (AJCP) has two main objectives: 1) to generate revenue and sustainable jobs by supporting value chain development in Micro SMEs; and 2) to support trade promotion and facilitate Afghan businesses in increasing exports.
