Devotees and Servants of Lord Senthil Ᾱndavar prepare, serve, and partake of annadānam (food offering) at Kanda Ṣaṣṭi festival, 20-26 October 2017 at Sri Subrahmanya Swāmi Devasthānam, Tiruchendur, Tamil Nadu, India.

Along with a growing band of devotees who serve hundreds of devotees daily tiffin, lunch, and dinner, Muttu Irulaayi Ammaiyar (seen above, standing) and her followers, who are all from humble backgrounds, serve the poorest and humblest of Lord Senthil Andavar's devotees annually at Tiruchendur.
Large quantities of dry goods and fresh vegetables must be purchased, transported,  securely stored, and prepared into tasty vegetarian dishes fit to offer to Lord Sentil Ᾱndavar and His simple devotees during all six days of Kanda Sasti.


Many hands are needed to prepare and serve so much food while also keeping clean the cooking & serving areas.
