Does anyone remember when Peter talked about bridges over N. Main and nobody believed it would ever happen? Well...looks like it will happen. The above rendering is from the Draft Master Plan of the Tree Town Trail. Our office and all of our managed properties are right next to a new multi-million dollar ADA ramp over the Huron River which will more readily connect N. Main to the neighborhoods and downtown. Additionally, construction of a tunnel under the railroad near Depot St. that will enable non-motorized traffic to connect to the Border-to-Border Trail is also happening in May. We're looking forward to more connections to the river!

FORMER LAKE TRUST HEADQUARTERS BEING REDEVELOPED BY LOCAL FIRMS

For two years ee have been working with Lake Trust Credit Union developing a redevelopment strategy for their former headquarters in downtown Lansing. This opportunity came out of our work for the MEDC helping Lake Trust figure out how to leverage their former headquarters site into a mixed-use development. At our recommendation the site was rezoned to allow high-density mixed-use development and marketed to local and national developers. Even before marketing the site, we tried to remove as many risks and unknowns for redevelopment. Instead of thinking like brokers, we thought about what we as developers would want as part of a marketing package and it paid off. We had four developers submit purchase agreements within 4 months. We are happy to announce that the Forsberg group, who is allied with Westpac and Dymaxion Development, won the bid and we plan to close in January. They have an ambitious but doable plan to add hundreds of new units of housing and tie this site to the excitement going on Downtown and REO Town. We've never been more excited for Lansing.

Over the last 6 months we worked with Emily Duffelmeyer, owner of Jean Jean Vintage, to find her a brick & mortar home for her growing online shop in Lansing, Michigan. After searching high and low we ended up finding a beautiful 1930s deco building in the up and coming REO Town. After months of negotiations and revisions to the build out plans both parties could sign with confidence. Before Thanksgiving Amberfield Investments and Jean Jean Vintage inked their new relationship and broke ground on the build out this past week. Congrats Sam and Emily!
