It is my sad duty to inform you that LTC (R) Edmund “Mick” Daley passed away on Tuesday, October 24, a day after his 88th birthday, surrounded by his family. Mick was a great soldier and a true gentleman. A DMOR and Emeritus, Mick was a stalwart of the Association almost from the beginning. He was the guy who arranged to have the 16th Infantry Regiment memorial emplaced at Arlington National Cemetery. He will be sorely missed by all those of us who had the good fortune to know him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund at St Ann Catholic Church or Capital Caring, 2900 Telestar Ct, Falls Church, VA 22042.You may send personal condolences to:

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Murphy’s Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA 22203. A Mass of Christian Burial will be performed Monday, November 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Saint Ann Roman Catholic Church, 5300 N 10th St, Arlington, VA 22205. A military burial service will occur at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
