"I'm ECHO"

A Note From Our Executive Director

Greetings!
My hope is that you are looking forward to a happy holiday season and the memories of hurricanes are long behind you.  But...ECHO is just now feeling their full impact.  You see, for the last few weeks, we have served countless large families who have been forced to relocate from Puerto Rico.  We love serving them.  We are so thankful that they have found hope, help, and direction at ECHO.  But, just pause and think for a moment:  They are starting completely over.  Which means, they are in need of everything:  food, clothing, bedding, kitchenware, toiletries, etc.  So, I make this humble appeal on their behalf:  HELP!  Please consider cleaning out your closets, pantries, and cupboards.  We are in desperate need of boys and mens clothing, small household items, and toiletries.
Our food pantry is out of ramen noodles, powdered milk, and baking mixes.  The generosity of our community never ceases to amaze me.  If we all pitch in, our newest neighbors will have more than enough!

The Common Table is right around the corner!  On Thanksgiving Day, ECHO plans to deliver meals to the families living in the pay by week motels, as well as serve a noon meal.  We cannot wait to kick off this inaugural event!  Very few volunteer openings remain.  Please contact Eleanor directly if you would like to serve: eleanor@echofl.org
