Worldwide call to action

Yesterday, February 7th, the US Army Corps of Engineers gave notice of intent to grant the final easement for the Dakota Access Pipeline to cross the Missouri River.

The Indigenous Coalition at Standing Rock is calling on all its allies to take coordinated action TODAY.

Friends: STAND WITH STANDING ROCK!

The Corps is abandoning the Environmental Impact Statement review that it ordered in December and skipping the Congressional notification period required by law. This move comes after President Trump's Executive Order directing the Corps to expedite approval of the project.

As Tom Goldtooth, Executive Director of the Indigenous Environmental Network, said of the decision:

"Donald Trump will not build his Dakota Access Pipeline without a fight. The granting of an easement, without any environmental review or tribal consultation, is not the end of this fight – it is the new beginning. Expect mass resistance far beyond what Trump has seen so far."

There will be more actions after today, but it's important for us to respond powerfully to this moment to show that our resistance is growing with each destructive move the Trump administration makes.

Find an action near you, and join our Standing Rock allies TODAY!
