Friday, February 17
7:30 - 9:00 pm - Sanctuary

Come join us for a night of worship. Together, as we pour out our praise, we are expectant for a radical encounter with the outrageous kindness of God's love. Feel free to grab a journal, a canvas, or even a pillow! Come to rest and simply be in the presence of God.
In 2016, Northside prayed for healing during every Sunday service. We believe in the power and partnership with God in prayer, and want to continue our prayers together for healing. Dave and Carol Kelley will be leading a time of healing prayer Saturday, February 18th from 6-8 pm in the Sanctuary. This will be during our 24 Hour Call to Prayer, which begins Saturday at 8 am and lasts until 8 am Sunday. Dave and Carol will open with a brief teaching and equipping on healing prayer, followed by an extended time of praying for healing. If you or someone you know need healing prayer, come receive.
THRIVE: BIBLE LECTURE SERIES
How Do We Read God's Two Books: Genesis, Big Bang Cosmology, and the Human Genome.

Both the Bible and Creation require interpretation.  There are ways to read the Bible wrongly and come up with ideas and beliefs that violate scripture. Likewise, there are ways to read nature wrongly and come up with ideas and beliefs that have little to do with the world as it really is. In this illustrated talk we will explore the rules that Christian theologians use to interpret scripture correctly and the rules that Christians who are scientists use to interpret the world correctly. Finally, we will address what to do when the testimony of creation seems to violate some long-held doctrines about the world and the place of humans in it.

Thursday, February 23th
7:00 - Sanctuary
Presented by Steve Delamarter and Beth Habecker.

Restorative Prayer
As we come to the end of Genesis in our Bible reading (thebibleproject.com) we learn that God (and not Portland) is the ultimate recycler. He makes promises to his people and when His people break their side of the covenant, He uses it for His/our good and renews the promise again. All throughout these events, He is continually drawing His people back to the relationship that He had in the garden with Him.

Touch A Life... Be A Hospice Volunteer
Providence Hospice is in need of volunteers in Yamhill County to help people who are facing terminal illness. A hospice volunteer can provide much needed companionship, and emotional support, can read a book, play a game, record an oral history of another life and stories, and provide respite care to a spouse or loved one. If you have time to simply be there for another, to help them be more comfortable, happy and at peace it is one of the greatest acts of kindness you can offer.
A free comprehensive course of training to prepare people who are interested in becoming hospice volunteers will be offered. The Community Hospice Coalition Training will be held at Providence Newberg Hospital on:
