 This year healthcare, which is a new endeavor for the movement, has emerged as a demand driven focus. Many public health officials from across the continent will be present at the Namibia meeting to discuss their experiences with digital identity in patient identification. These include applications for universal health insurance schemes, women's health, and management of identity within specialized groups such as infants and children and AIDS patients, where the needs of security and privacy of patient records are paramount.
