The Baptist Times News Round Up
View this email in your browser

This week we highlight some reaction to President Trump’s controversial executive order on immigration, including a statement from the Baptist World Alliance, and why a UK Baptist church invited other faith and community leaders to “stand together for peace”.

New beginnings also feature in this edition. A church has opened a new facility which is the talk of the town, while a minister is just weeks away from opening a community micropub.

Not unrelated, one of the reflective pieces looks at the importance of presence in a community, while another notes this is something sadly lacking for a forgotten section of our society. How do we break into the hollowed-out lives of those sitting alone in the hidden places of our communities, whose only company is the ever-present television screen?
