The book tells the story of how MBP started and grew to be the amazing community ministry that it is today. Come to catch up with Jennie, to get your book signed (some will be available for purchase that night), and to pack bags for hungry kids!
Each year lots of Blacksburg eighth graders come to MBP to fulfill service hours. We love having them with us. Some come just to pack and fill their ten hour requirements. Others come and love it and go the extra mile to support MBP. These eighth graders have been coming for packing way beyond the ten hour requirement for school and recently hosted a four hour food drive. The car was completely full of food and the mom/chauffeur had to tell them they had to stop because there was no more room in the car to stuff one more item of food! Thank you Cherylanne and friends!
A shout out this month to Long and Foster Realtors who are serving our community! They brought a group to MBP to help pack and provided lots of fun and helping hands. Another shout out goes to Luther Memorial Lutheran Church who collects food for MBP each month and also supports MBP financially!
We couldn't feed so many hungry kids without all of our community partners.
New Delivery Opportunities
We have had some delivery opportunities open up on Friday mornings. Feel free to click on the links below and sign up if you have a few minutes to pick up bags at Saint Michael Lutheran Church on Thursday night or Friday morning and then drop off the bags to the school on Friday morning.
