Counting the cost of flooding in Aberdeenshire
The flooding in Aberdeenshire in December 2015 came at a significant cost to the Council. Just how big a cost is difficult to estimate due to how data is collected on Local Authority spending.
In a first of it's kind in Scotland ClimateXChange worked with Aberdeenshire Council to explore the the economics of adaptation, and how it might support practical decision-making and planning processes across local authority responsibilities. The findings will be presented at Sniffer's Flood Risk Management Conference 2017.

20 trial conversations were held last year. The findings from these conversations will be presented at this seminar which is also a chance to get to know more about the materials and how to use them.
