LIBRARY WINE
PERPETUA means long-lasting…continuous, which represents to our family the concept of generations – our roots and our future. 100% harvested from three individual blocks in our eastern Osoyoos vineyard estate. With limited skin contact, a select portion was fermented in new French oak, and aged sur lie for nine months with gentle hand-stirring every two weeks. 32 barrels produced. Rich, intense and vibrant, with persistent peach, apple, hazelnut and spice flavours in the mix. The 2012 Perpetua shows seamless density with a plush and creamy mid-palate and beautifully integrated French oak. Harmonious and graceful, lingering with a mineral note and a juicy impression. Harvested in September 2012 from our Osoyoos Vineyard Estate. After crushing and skin contact, the free run wine is set aside. A carefully selected portion is barrel fermented in new French oak, aged for 9 months sur lie, and stirred by hand every two weeks
Tinhorn Creek 2011 Oldfield Series Pinot Noir $33.90 +taxes
KIMS PINOT PICK
2011 was one of the coolest vintages in a decade in the Okanagan, which is excellent for Pinot Noir. Brick red color, cranberry and cherries give way to smoky herbal notes with a hint of orange rind and star anise. The complex palate has delicate sour cherry, dried herbs, clove, chocolate orange and cigar box. A brick red hue, typical of aged Pinot Noir, gives a bold and complex appearance. On the nose the wine yields cranberry and dried cherries before giving way to a smoky, herbal, earthy note. It continues to develop as it opens up. Next wave of aromatics shows dried orange rind, star anise and cinnamon. The pallet is delicate and supple with tart cherry fruit, black tea, cloves, and finished with a dark orange chocolate bite. Cellar 3-5 years.
Stag's Hollow 2013 Renaissance Merlot $41.73 +taxes
PERFECT WITH YOUR VALENTINES STEAK
There is a plush, seductive nose on this powerful wine. Spicy, vanilla-scented forward oak, shoe polish and dense fruitcake aromas pave the way for rich palate flavours of ripe plum, cassis and dark chocolate. Layered and complex, the tannins are structured and still quite tight, but pedigreed fruit and skilled winemaking are on full display. Tasted June 2016. As with most of our Renaissance Merlot wines, this wine is approachable at release with decanting, but will benefit from at least 2 years of aging in bottle and will further reward with careful cellaring for up to the next 10 years.
