March First Fridays Artswalk
Friday, March 3rd, 5 to 8 pm
Enjoy a dozen different art shows featuring work by over twenty accomplished regional artists in Pittsfield’s bustling Upstreet Cultural District during the First Fridays Artswalk and all month long!
In most venues, artists will be present from 5 to 8 pm on Friday, March 3rd!
Join us for a free guided tour beginning at 5pm on March 3rd at the Intermodal Center @ BRTA, 1 Columbus Ave!

Dottie's Coffee Lounge
444 North Street, Pittsfield, MA.
Dottie’s Coffee Lounge recently invited local artists to use their creative genius and recycle chairs no longer being used in the Lounge. The only instruction was to take the chairs and bring them back in another form in time for Pittsfield’s 10×10 Upstreet Arts Festival.
A closing reception for 10×10 Chairity: Take a Seat! will be held on Friday, March 3rd from 5 to 8 pm, with artist talks at 7 pm. Bidding in the Silent Auction will end at 8 pm. Come meet the artists and hear about their inspiration. Plus, have a last chance to bid on these awesome creations, from wall hangings and table sculptures to planters, a toy box, and more! Proceeds from 10×10 Chairity: Take a Seat! will go to the Pittsfield Education Foundation (PEF).

The Hotel on North Gallery will feature paintings by local artist Joan Palano Ciolfi through March 2017. The exhibit, “Cherish”, will feature a collection of vibrant abstracts and abstract landscapes that represent the artist’s connection and passion for the Berkshires.
Joan’s use of opaque, transparent color and line quality, ranges from exuberant and energetic to mindful and transformative.

Brothership Building Window

For the month of March, The Brothership Window will feature a group show organized by Lucie Castaldo, entitled “Phenomenal Women”.
In celebration of Women’s History Month this show will feature works from the Berkshires and Pioneer Valley, each celebrating a historic female. Artists include: Alicia Soos, Amanda Hartlage, Brielle Rizzotti, Carrie Wright, Dina Noto, Lucie Castaldo, and Stephanie VanBramer.

Shire City Sanctuary
40 Melville Street, Pittsfield, MA.
A new exhibit will open as part of First Friday Artswalk on March 3rd from 5 to 8pm in the lower level of Shire City Sanctuary.
In addition, Shire City Sanctuary will host a vegan community dinner on March 3rd from 6:30 to 8:30pm. Dinner is $20, reservations are required and can be made on Eventbrite.
