Science Europe is dedicated to improving the European research environment by seeking to ensure that the research careers of women and men are equally facilitated.
The latest practical guide from Science Europe, ‘Improving Gender Equality in Research Organisations,’ enables mutual learning between research organisations and directly addresses issues around gender inequality in research. The guide suggests a range of approaches for the implementation of gender equality. It sets out good practice examples and guides the development of context-specific approaches in three areas:
- how to avoid unconscious bias in peer review processes;
- how to monitor gender equality; and
- how to improve grant management practices.
