Appointment of Exhibition Designer 
The CHT has appointed Richard Houghton, an Exhibition Designer from HKD. HKD was founded in 2000 by Richard and Kate Kneale and they now lead a team of creative individuals who share a passion for Art and Science. HKD has experience of working on projects which range from the masterplanning of whole sites to the design of individual exhibits. We welcome Richard to the team.
Stakeholder Open Event
Local stakeholders who have an interest in the future of the Highbury Estate are invited to meet with the specialist consultants who are involved in developing the outline proposals for the repair and restoration project of Highbury.
The event is taking place on 22nd February from between 4 and 7pm at Highbury. Attendees can drop in, chat to the team, learn about the key outline proposals and give feedback. The project team now consists of:

City leaders met at Highbury in preparation to Brexit
Elected Mayors, Leaders and Chief Executives from the UK’s Core Cities met at Highbury on 27 January to discuss how cities could respond to the financial situation facing local government, the development of industrial strategy and the consequences of the Brexit vote.
Core Cites UK is made up of Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham and Sheffield, and together they represent a quarter of the UK economy.
Following the meeting, Core Cities UK chair and leader of Leeds City Council, Judith Blake, said that cities needed powers to replicate Chamberlain’s revolutionary work.
History West Midlands
History West Midlands is an independent website which provides free access to a variety of programmes and different media focussing on the history of the people of the West Midlands, their ideas, innovation and industry.
History West Midlands has been in touch to let us know about two films and a published book 'Speeches that changed Britain’ which extensively feature Chamberlain. A new book is launching in April, as well as a documentary on Highbury.
