A Message from the Principal
Some parents continue to ignore the following safety warning: The school parking lot is not to be used by parents to drop off and pick up children during school hours. Please use the designated pick-up and drop-off areas on Donlands.

Upcoming School Closure
There is no school on Friday, February 17th because of a board-wide PA Day. The school is also closed on Monday, February 20 in recognition of Family Day. We hope our students and their families enjoy their extra-long weekend together!

Firefighter Visits
Firefighters will be visiting classrooms this week to talk to students about fire safety and discuss what to do in an emergency.

Sweetheart Bake Sale
Your time and your tasty, tasty baked goods will be most appreciated to help support the Sweetheart Bake Sale on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. ​See the event flyer for more details, and be sure to show up hungry!

In keeping with our status as a Gold Eco School, parents are asked to send a reusable container to school for students who wish to bring treats home. 

Derby Car Cut-Out Night
There are still a few spaces available in the 8:00 - 9:00 pm time slot for the derby car cut-out night on Friday. Learn more about the event and complete the registration form to participate. If your child is planning to take part but did not get a derby kit, please let us know. 

Arts Programming: The Mouse, the Ant and the Antelopes
Children in JK, SK and Dandycubs from Dandylion daycare are sure to enjoy The Mouse, the Ant and the Antelopes on Thursday. This performance with audience participation brings forward the message about being humble, and the importance of sharing and respect for what was here before us.

WSCC February Meeting
The Wilkinson School Community Council will meet next Monday, February 13th. Childcare is available upon request. All parents/guardians are welcome, you don't have to be a member of the council to attend. We hope to see you there!
