PRUSSIAN BLUE + tIMC: PORTFOLIO SPOTLIGHT

The then newly formed Kirby Jones, a brand new talent agency working with a broad range of people all of whom are specialists in their areas - from presenters to poets, film makers to business leaders, got in touch at the end of 2014, having found Prussian Blue via a Google search. Frustrated by a lack of a design skills in the other web developers they were finding, they stretched to the top end of their budget to work with us, feeling they had found a good creative fit.

We went on to create a logotype and identity, along with business cards and, of course, a website. Natalie and Penny were model clients and emailed just the response we want all our clients to have, pride in the end product.
"Thank you so much Susan for all your hard work, we really love it and are so proud of the site . . . We've loved working with you, you've been utterly brilliant and we will certainly recommend you."

The site even met approval with renowned creative director Ken Segall - the man who, amongst so many other things, put the i in iMac, and whose strapline is "Truth, Justice & Simplicity" - telling Penny, "I like your site a lot. Very clean and easy to comprehend. Stands apart from most such sites." Vindication if ever it was needed.

Penny's official testimonial over two years on reads: "We are delighted with the design of our logo and with the website and have received many compliments on how clean and professional it looks. Susan at Prussian Blue could not have been more helpful and we value her continued involvement."

The Internet Marketing Company worked with Prussian Blue to provide the web development and are hosting the site with ongoing support to Kirby Jones.

GET BLOGGING

Google loves to see new content being added to your site and an integral blog creates a new page in your site, with every article having its own URL that includes your domain. tIMC has long been an advocate of blogging for this reason and has always insisted that a site's blog be a part of the site build and not an external Blogspot or other standalone blog product connected via a link.

As you add more content to your site, more pages from your domain become indexed in search engines. Organic search visibility and website traffic is improved and increased with every new page you publish. The more blog posts you have, the more chances you have to rank for various keywords.

An active blog shows that your business is alive and kicking, that it's loved and maintained. It's on this point, we may agree that if you can't regularly tend to article writing, it may be better not to blog at all! But if you can create good content, you could be creating resource material for journalists and other bloggers, all helping to create quality inbound links to your site. Basic SEO.

Social media is now another cornerstone of SEO. Once a month, write one article. Publish it on your blog and write a teaser with the page link and publish that on Facebook, Linked In and Twitter. All bases covered, job done.

Blogging on your website is a key way to differentiate yourself from your competitors. Share your own unique thoughts and insights and inspire authority, trust and likeability.

If you would like a blog added to your site, call Christine on 01353 880362 and if you need help creating content, we can even hook you up with friendly a journalist / copywriter.
