Welcome to the 5th issue of PEP Talk!
Our goal is to raise awareness about the program and to create stronger community.

School is hard work.
Whether your child enjoys school or is somewhat less enthusiastic, for every child, it is hard work.

What is a school day like
for a child — big or small?

It goes like this...

Did you know that many PEP programs began through the
twinning program of the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH)?

PEP started in the United States as a pilot project in 1995.
It is now found in 10 countries-El Salvador, India, Ireland, Israel, Panama, Peru, New Zealand, South Africa, United States and in Canada since 2009.
Three Canadians attended the PEP International Train
the Trainers
workshop held in Michigan in December 2016 ,
and are now gearing up to facilitate PEP workshops across the country in 2017.
"The course surpassed all of my expectations."
"Thank you for the opportunity to be involved and we
are looking forward to putting on a PEP session in April. "
A one-day PEP workshop for grandparents is in the early planning stages-
keep your eyes open
for a survey encouraging feedback from both parents and grandparents
on defining roles, meeting needs and finding the best ways to help.
Thanks to the efforts of the CHS Program Committee, PEP will be offered in French later this year.  If you are bilingual and interested in supporting this effort in any way, please contact Rachel Leslie
