Busy learning
A shout-out to all my wonderful clients and colleagues. You've helped The Write Path (i.e. me!) become a productive, busy business.
I'm thrilled to be continually working with a lovely mix of ongoing clients and new contacts. It's always a buzz to receive a referral, quote on a piece of work, and even more of a thrill to complete a project.
You have all helped shape this solo business of mine. And every day brings with it a new learning, which is exactly what work should offer us all.

Ditch the clutter in your writing
This Grammarly blog provides great insight into 'filler' words and phrases. I'll admit, it's much easier to spot these unnecessary words in someone else's writing, but watch out for these habitual patterns in your own text.
It's time to get decluttering.

Shae is great with words and is able to convey complex ideas in a way that reaches every audience. Shae enhanced my content to make it web-ready, accessible and relevant. I think that she got the pitch and the tone just right to match my coaching business.

More than words
Keep your readers engaged by looking beyond the words to the core message – how is it best delivered? Would an infographic or photo tell a better story? Or could you use more dot points and subheadings? Think about more than words when crafting your message.

It's a process
Don't be blinded by your own perfectionism! Writing is a process. While a 'perfect' draft would be a great achievement, the alternative is much more common! You need to research, write, collaborate, rewrite, research again, and edit. It's important to allow enough time for this process.

I'm reading
It's a little gruesome and disturbing in parts, but I'm enjoying The girl with all the gifts by M.R. Carey.
I'm working on
- an award submission
- a case study booklet
- eNews and blog articles
- two website rewrites.
