African Geoscientists in the Spotlights
A few sentences from the students who have been awarded an IRD travel grant to attend the PICG 638 in Dakar, in December (extract and translation D. Baratoux):
Saga SAWADOGO (Univ. Ouagadougou): Thanks to the PICG638, I had the occasion to: meeting geoscientists from several regions of the world (Senegal, France, Ivory Coast, South Africa, U.S.A., Morocco, Niger, Mali and Algeria). I had also the occasion to increase my knowledge about the geodynamics and economic potential of the Birimian. I have been able to present my own Ph.D. work and I have received feedbacks and recommendations from well-established researchers. This will be also the occasion to prepare a scientific article for the PIGC638 special issue in Journal of African Earth Sciences.
