Re-Enrollment begins for 2017-18 school year!
Wednesday we sent home a green folder containing all the re-enrollment papers and information you will need to enroll your child for next year. Please complete the paperwork and return it with your $200 non-refundable deposit by February 15th. You are guaranteed a space for your child until 2/15, when open enrollment begins. We are so grateful that you share your children with us and look forward to seeing them all again next year.

For those families whose children are Kindergarten age or transitioning to 1st grade or 4th grade, we will be hosting classroom observation and information sessions called What's Next?. You will receive a phone call next week to help you sign up for the session that works best for you and to answer any questions you might have. It is exciting to see all these children ready for What's Next? at SVMS!

SVMS LOCAL PARTNERS

We are excited to announce partnerships with some super cool local businesses. As you know we regularly partner with local restaurants that host monthly dine-outs for our benefit. We are pleased to add a few more local greats to our list of partners!

Starting the month of February we are partnering with Freedom Farm Veggies in Old Fort and My Place Inn in Black Mountain. Both of these great businesses are owed and operated by SVMS families.

FEEDOM FARM VEGGIES: Owned by Ginger Dermott and Daniel Price (Nina-LE class)
May 17th-September 27th $500
20 WEEKS OF ORGANIC VEGETABLES
Community Supported Agriculture is a great way to support a local farmer in the spring start-up costs and then reap the harvest weekly throughout the growing season. A 5% donation to Swannanoa Valley Montessori School will be made on any shares purchased between February 5-19. Shares are
available for pick-up anytime on Wednesdays at the farm in Old Fort or 9am at a yet to be determined Black Mountain location. For more information, please contact us.
freedomfarmveggies1@gmail or call Ginger @ 207-213-0440 freedomfarmveggies.com

MY PLACE INN: Owned by Frank and Emily Cappelli (Leo-Firefly class)
My Place Inn will donate 20% of all reservations to SVMS when guests use the promo code "SVMS" to book on MPI's website.

Annual Fund
100% PARTICIPATION

We are wrapping up our family giving portion of our Annual Fund. February 17th is the last day for you to give in order help us reach our 100% participation. We are currently at 67%, so please consider giving.

Remember, our focus is not how much you give, but that you give something. We are looking for 100% parent, staff and board participation this year. Help us secure more outside funding by demonstrating your dedication to SVMS. Let's do it with 100% participation!

Come and be amazed at this fabulous family event that benefits both SVMS and the Vanishing Wheelchair.

Mark it on your calendars!

DATE: Saturday, February 18th
TIME: 2:00-4:00pm
LOCATION: Carver Center Auditorium - 101 Carver Avenue, Black Mtn

We are looking for volunteers to hang flyers around town starting next week. Contact erin@swanmont.org.

Then for the day of the event we will need volunteers for set-up and break-down, to supply baked goods for intermission concessions, to help set up concessions and to run the concessions. Sign-up for the day of the event here.

Tickets have gone home with your children on bright green paper. If you have not seen them, let us know and we will make sure you get some tickets to sell to your friends, family and neighbors. We count on you all to make sure we fill all our seats!

This is such a fun and worthy event! Hope to see you there!
