A Radically Different Media Landscape

George Luna Pena, our former Special Projects Coordinator, published a beautiful article about Generation Justice and how it is linked to his vision for a new media landscape in 2040. Here is an excerpt:

"Generation Justice provides young Indigenous and people of color with critical leadership training. We cannot expect a media landscape rooted in justice without centering the leadership of young Indigenous and people of color."
Thank you, George!

What We Shared: On-Air in January

In January, Generation Justice produced four stellar radio programs. We started off the new year by showcasing our best radio segments of 2016. It features poets, community organizers and so many others. Listen to it here.

On the 8th of January, we honored Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr with a program all about his legacy and the beautiful work he did to make America a more equitable country.

Toward the middle of the month, the New Mexico state legislature went into session. So, GJ talked with Senator Linda Lopez and Representative Christine Trujillo about how a $600 million budget deficit will have an impact on Behavioral Healthcare and Education. The podcast is available here.

After the Inauguration, GJ wanted to celebrate resistance and resiliency with a music show. If you want to listen to some uplifting, powerful songs, we have it for you right here.

You can also listen to our podcast on iTunes. Be sure to subscribe and rate!
