Live Simply, Love Generously

This Sunday the message will focus on the second half of our stewardship emphasis for 2017 - Love Generously.

God gives us opportunity to serve Him in our various callings as spouse, parent, church member, citizen, and worker. Faith bears fruit in love.
How about you?

  • How do you express your love for God?
  • Have you found true abundance that results from contributing to the wellbeing of others?
  • Does your personal, lifelong purpose bring you closer to Jesus?

Commitment Card

This Sunday you have the opportunity to turn in a commitment card. Our congregation is connecting people to Jesus, and I want you to discover how God has gifted you to support this mission. Share from your abundance with a generous love for God's mission to save the lost. The tithe (10%) is a good guide for how much to give to support the mission of Jesus to seek and to save the lost. Not everyone may be able to give 10% of their income. But this year, each of us can make lifestyle changes to live simply so that we can love generously.

You can download a copy of the form from this email if you lost yours or never received one: Commitment Card

VBS Sunday

Throughout the year we take opportunities to reprise our favorite songs from VBS. This Sunday, at the 11am service, I encourage you to wear a VBS t-shirt and sing along with our VBS band.

Boy Scout Breakfast

The Boy Scout troop that is chartered by St. Paul Lutheran Church will make this Sunday a breakfast between the 8:30am and 11am services. I encourage you to enjoy a good breakfast, talk to the scouts, and then head to Sunday school or Bible study. The Sunday Readings Bible Study will move to Room 5 in the basement for this weekend only.

Have You Taken the Survey Yet? Identifying Family Needs

The survey window will remain open till after Christmas to help us get a sufficient sample size. Every person in our congregation 18 or older is asked to take the Family Needs Assessment. You can help our congregation understand the needs in our community by taking a survey.

Pray for me,
Pastor Gaertner
St. Paul Lutheran Church desires all of the adults in our congregation to take a survey to help us focus our Family Friendly Ministry. The window for surveys remains open.
