From the Chair

Defending Rights:  LCDC Statement regarding the incident in Annville
As was posted previously on Facebook, "The Lebanon County Democratic Party stands for inclusion and fair treatment of all people. We are deeply troubled by racially motivated words and actions whenever and wherever they occur. We support LVC in its focus on diversity and inclusion and hope that the publicity and investigation following this restaurant incident will improve rather than escalate tensions.”
It’s not clear that the conflict has been resolved, but LVC students are passionate about making sure they stand up against racism. There is hope that offensive behavior does not define the town or the community.
In our society today it is important that individuals and the Democratic Party always stand up for fair and equal treatment.  The challenges we face from the current administration are widespread and dangerous. Many opportunities exist to express opposition and take a stand, whether it is communicating with elected leaders or working to elect new leaders.  This is a time for action.

Coming Events
Petition circulation takes place between February 14 and March 7th.  On Feb. 15th, attend the 7 pm LCDC County Meeting at Heisey’s Diner, Rt. 72 north of Lebanon, to meet candidates and sign petitions. Volunteer to help candidates get more signatures but be sure you know the rules.
