SEASON UPDATE

The AdamBots have been hard at work on both engineering and business teams.

Since the beginning of the build season in January, our team has been working diligently to complete our robot. Our three Mechanical Teams have been prototyping and fabricating components for the robot, meeting every day as a team to discuss and build the robot. Considering the different parts each of the mechanical teams is working on, we have completed our practice chassis, worked on our gear mechanism, and our ball shooter. The Electrical Team has made a great deal of progress on implementing the electrical board and elements into the chassis as well. The Programming Team has been meeting often to work on our robot’s code and developing programs for our various sensors. The structure of the robot was digitally designed by the CAD Team, and the Animation Team successfully finished their award submission before the January 30th deadline.

The Field Build Team has finished all the field elements completely, and its members are now participating in other projects. For use during competitions, the Game Strategy and Scouting Team created a scouting sheet that will allow us to takes notes on other teams, allowing us to keep track of their strategy and strengths. They will be testing it through a video stream of a pre-season competition.

The business teams have been extremely busy these past few weeks. The Business Planning Team has been measuring team continuity and success to see where the AdamBots can improve. The Chairman's Team has been focusing on award submissions and planning their video with the Photo/Video Team, who has also been creating weekly video updates. The Multimedia and Communications Team has been planning the Meet the AdamBots event and updating the team website, as well as teaching new students how to update student/mentor pages. Lastly, the Imagery Team has been working on new team shirts and other graphics.

Meet the AdamBots

On February 25, we will welcome sponsors, school faculty, and anyone else interested in the team to Adams High School. This tour of our build space falls between the final touches of the robot and the first competition. We would like to ask to take 90 minutes of your time to show you who we are, what we do, and what we are made of.
