NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 20 -
PRESIDENTS' DAY

School will be closed on Monday, February 20, in observance of Presidents' Day.

STUDENT ABSENCES
When your student is going to be absent from school we request that parents e-mail besattendance@tesd.net or call the school
attendance line at 610-240-1400 Option 5 by 8:55 am of the morning when their child will be absent. After attendance is taken in the classroom, the office verifies all student absences and calls to check on those who have not called in to report absences. Absences are considered lawfully excused when a student is prevented from attendance for mental, physical, or other urgent reasons such as illness, family emergency, death of a family member, medical or dental appointments, authorized school activities, educational travel with prior approval, pre-approved religious instruction (limit 36 hours per year), or a bona fide religious holiday.

DONATE YOUR EXTRA PANTS
The nurse’s office is in need of extra pairs of pants for those times when accidents happen or children fall in the mud.  Do you have any that your children have outgrown?  We will accept any size, any color, any style.

PLAYGROUND EXCAVATION WORK
We are ready to start construction on our turf field on the playground in the Spring! The first phase of the project will be excavation. We are reaching out to our Beaumont community to see if you, or any company you know, would be interested in bidding on this work.

Please contact Ann McCarthy or Courtney O’Brien as soon as possible. We are targeting to have this project completed by Spring Break so our students can enjoy the new field in the spring.

PHOTOS FROM THE FATHER DAUGHTER DANCE
Thank you to all the families who attended Beaumont's 14th annual Father-Daughter Dance on February 11. A special thanks to the FDD Committee lead by Leslie Dente, Jill Rios and Megan Schwartz for organizing the successful "Old Hollywood-themed" evening. We appreciate all the help from volunteers and those who donated food for making it a memorable night. There were plenty of photo ops: formal portraits taken by Alicia Asselta, photo booth and props, and candid moments captured by Yearbook volunteers. BEAUMONT AND THE HSA NEED HELP!

Please contact Courtney O'Brien with any questions about the openings below.

1. Creative Volunteers Needed -
We are looking for one volunteer from each grade. This volunteer will work with individual classes in each grade to create a themed art project that will be auctioned off at the Parent Social on February 3.  This should only take one afternoon of your time to go into the classrooms to "paint" your canvas which we will supply. If you are interested, please contact Erin Muhly or Ann McCarthy.

2. Book Fair - We need two additional book fair chairs for the 2017-2018 school year. Please consider joining this fun group to lead the two 📚 book fairs sponsored by the HSA. Both Mary Hashemi and Renee DelViscio will be leaving Beaumont at the end of the school year and will help with the transition.

3. Cultural Arts - For the 2017-2018 school year, we need two volunteers to work together to plan all school assemblies. These people will coordinate schedules, contracts and assembly day details with lead teachers and staff at Beaumont as well as with the assembly providers. Chairs will also attend periodic Delta meetings at Easttown Library. This is a fun and rewarding job that gives chairs an opportunity to bring assemblies into our school and see firsthand the children's enthusiasm and excitement about being exposed to different cultural and art related experiences. Current chairs Alicia Asselta and Lindsey Weber.

4. Pizza Bingo - We need two or more chairs to lead Pizza Bingo for the 2017-2018 school year.  This is a popular event that is fun for all involved.  Current chairs: Katie Galef, Min Lubiniecki, and Angie Polizzi.
