This “impossible comedy”, as Lorca himself described the play, blends together issues of gender, love, identity, and the human body in a world of dismantled and non-linear time. A young man and woman are waiting for five years to get married – that is the skeleton narrative of the play. Within and beyond that time frame, the human interior and exterior worlds collide, life and death are dissected in an “impossible” but secular universe.

Players' Theatre's highly anticipated February show: 'Art' is opening in ONE WEEK!

Written by Yasmina Reza and Directed by Ben Mayer-Goodman & Guillaume Doussin

Serge buys a painting. It's huge, it's expensive, and it's completely white. Marc doesn't understand. Yvan doesn't really care.
As their dispute descends into madness, Reza's fast-paced, multi-award-winning comedy touches upon the fragility of human relationships, change, social divide, snobbery, nuts, and the pursuit of happiness.
Will their stubbornness destroy their friendship? Can a white square be called art? How much food can an actor ingest in an hour and a half?
Come help us figure it out at Players' production of 'Art'!

This is how history writes it. Marie Angélique; a slave in a Canadian history book. But no one has spoken to the injustice that stoked the inextinguishable fire in her belly. No one can know for certain if she was responsible for the cinder and wreckage; the charred relics of a people’s pain. As Canadians, we have not told the real and forgotten story of Angélique. Not until now.
See you next week kids-- Sophia, Laura, and Freddy the Ghost
