GP Survey donation to Greenhill and Flinders Lodges
The RDWA has presented a cheque for $9280 to the Cancer Council's Greenhill and Flinders Lodges. The money was kindly donated by our resident GP workforce who completed the recent RDWA GP Survey. Thank you doctors. Read more here.

RDWA Rural Emergency Skills Program (RESP)
An expanded RESP program is on offer to resident rural GPs in South Australia.
If you are a resident rural GP in SA contracted to provide Emergency Care to one or more of the Country Health SA LHN hospitals, you can register to attend at no cost.
The new two-day program delivers contemporary, relevant, country-focused training to assist rural doctors to maintain their clinical skills and retain their confidence in applying those skills.
The course dates and locations are:
24-25 March - Adelaide
7-8 April - Port Lincoln
2-3 June - Naracoorte
23-24 June - Port Pirie
28-29 July - Renmark
8-9 September - Murray Bridge
10-11 November - Whyalla
1-2 December - Adelaide

Resident Rural GP Partner/Spouse Grant
We recognise partners do a great deal to support our resident rural GPs. In acknowledgement we aim to recognise the professional and personal development needs of the partners and spouses of our GPs.
We are offering grants of up to $3000 to support career or business opportunities, or to assist in study, professional or personal development.

Register now - Quorn Clinical Skills Weekend
Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (University of Adelaide) and Doctor of Medicine (Flinders University) students who are members of either AURHA or FURHS are invited to apply for the Quorn Clinical Skills Weekend to be held Friday 7 to Sunday 9 April 2017.
The program provides an up close opportunity to experience rural medicine.
Successful applicants will be offered a fully funded weekend that includes travel and meals. Places are limited.

RACGP - advice regarding guaranteed GPE outcome for 2017.2 enrolment
The RDWA advises that GPs on the existing RACGP General Practice Experience Pathway who wish to enrol in the 2017 Semester 2 Fellowship examinations, are required to submit a completed application for assessment of General Practice Experience to the College by Friday 24 March 2017.
Applications submitted to the College after this date will not be guaranteed an outcome in time to enrol.
