We are commencing our skills and fitness focused pre season training this week.
Pre season training is recommended to build upon the kids skills and fitness and to create social links within the club.
Wednesday, February 15:
Our U14 squad will train on Wednesday, commencing today, from 5.30pm to 6.30pm. Jason Clarke and Chris Kavanagh will be coordinating.
Training will commence on the open space at Murphy Reserve.
Thursday, February 16
Under 10s: 4.30pm
Under 8s: 5pm
Under 9s: 5.15pm
Under 11s: 5.30pm
Under 12s: 5.45pm
Girls U12/U14 /U16 5pm to 6pm
U13 Squad: 4.30pm South Melbourne Districts oval #12. Michael Christian will be coordinating this session.
Our Coaching Coordinators Peter Maloney and Warren Voss will be overseeing the pre-season training sessions on Thursday, with assistance from our 2017 Coaches and Assistant Coaches. Interested parents are also welcome to join in and assist. Some coaches are unavailable tomorrow night but players in all age groups are encouraged to attend and get excited about season 2017.
Pre-season training will continue throughout February, March on Thursdays, with in season training commencing in April on Wednesday nights.
Times and ground availability will be reassessed after the March long weekend.
Any friends and new players are also very welcome.
Please wear your runners (no football boots at this stage) and sunscreen, bring a water bottle and a football.
