Western Cuyahoga Audubon Second Saturday Bird Walk Report

Date: Saturday, February 11, 2017
Location: Trails around Rocky River Nature Center, Rocky River Reservation, Cleveland Metroparks, 24000 Valley Pkwy, North Olmsted, OH 44070 ​Map
Leaders: Bill Deininger, Ken Gober, Dave Graskemper
Results: 23 Birders, 23 Species

​Carolina Wren, Northern Cardinals and Song Sparrows were singing, to name a few. A highlight of the walk was the sighting of ten Eastern Bluebirds, first spotted by birder Brent. American Tree Sparrows continued in good numbers as seen on the January walk.

The Rocky River Nature Center celebrated Birds of Prey Weekend with an ice sculpture of a Barn Owl outside and live raptors from Lake Erie Nature and Science Center inside. Read Online
