February is here and I can't believe that in a few weeks we enter March, which only leaves us 10 months of the calendar year. I'm excited for the Footy season to start up again soon and to launch a few more projects that have been in the pipeline since last year.
As I said last month, if you have a project that is on the cards, then please let me know now so that we can get organised together to achieve the results you are after. It's better to start planning now as any high end build will take longer than 6 months and if you want to be in before Christmas, you'll want to have plans and engineering drawn up before the end of March.

Current Projects - It's nice to see things progressing at our two renovations in Hawthorn and Toorak, and just recently we won the tender to frame, lockup and fix out 22 boutique townhouses in Thornbury for Cubo Group.
Over at Hawthorn the Render is complete upstairs, windows are in and the roof is on. The hebel power panel walls are going in downstairs and our electrical, plumbing, mechanical and hydronic rough-ins are in progress.
Toorak is making good progress with the floors going down this week, plastering is almost complete and the stair case is being installed. We are ready and excited for the joinery and fix out to begin in the coming few weeks.

This Month - We wrapped this lovely project up before Christmas last year, but wanted to wait until it was styled to show it off to our loyal followers. Take a look at the before and after shots, and click the gallery link to see all of the completed shots.
Overview - Another project designed by Adele Bates, Morgan and her husband decided that they would like to bring a family heirloom (been in the family for over a century!) back to life. A story tale once it is all complete, TCON have been asked to restore all the original features, new Bathroom, Laundry, Kitchen, Living, Herringbone floorboards throughout and some large timber windows to allow all the natural light to enter this Edwardian home.

This Month - The pool was clean and ready to go for Christmas along with the new decking, alfresco and joinery. Our client's were stoked that it was all done in time for the break. Even though the council delayed us a month, we managed to get it over the line. Take a look at our latest photoshoot that we got done a few weeks back, no words needed for this beauty.
Overview - We have been working with Victor and Michelle since November 2015 around their busy schedule as they decided to do section by section of their house when timing was right. The final stage is here and we are building a pergola and decking around their brand new swimming pool just in time for Christmas. With large Ironbark posts to be features of the pergola, and decking to match, this final piece of the puzzle will complete their beautiful home.

Overview - We recently won the tender to frame, lockup and fix out 22 boutique townhouses in Thornbury for Cubo Group. The boys have started strong, with a team of 10 - 15 of TCON Group's guys on the site at any one time. The ground floor frames are in, the joists are in and yellow tongue flooring is being installed today.

This Month - The Render is complete upstairs, windows are in and the roof is on. Our insulation and plaster is lined up to start in a few weeks, and the concrete in fill slab in the living area starts Monday. The job is moving along well and I'm really happy with the progress.
Overview - Hawthorn is a second storey extension to a stunning 1930's semi detached clinker brick home. The rear two thirds of the home has been demolished to make way for a split level extension. Going down four steps into a light filled Family/Meals room with nice open plan and a view into the Northern entertaining area with swimming pool and deck. Upstairs we have 2 new spacious bedrooms, bathroom and built in robes.

This Month - We are making good progress with the floors going down this week, plastering is almost complete and the stair case is being installed. We are ready and excited for the joinery and fix out to begin in the coming few weeks. Now that the floors are going in and the plaster is on the walls, you can really get a feel for the new space we have created upstairs, and opened up downstairs.

Overview - Toorak is a double fronted solid brick period home that we are demolishing the back north eastern quarter of the home, and putting a small 10m2 extension that will create a large entertaining area and kitchen. Once we head upstairs, the second storey will consist of two new large bedrooms, a walk-in-robe and ensuite.
