A few notes:
1. If you've already placed your order through farmmatch - no problem! You do NOT need to resubmit it. Farmmatch is being phased out over the next several weeks.
2. We tried to make sure all in-stock products have ingredients listed. If any are missing, please contact us and we'll get that updated right away. Some products are missing pictures, protocols, descriptions, etc, these are being worked on and updated as we have time. Thanks for your patience with the new system!
3. There is one whole new route going to GB, Wausau and Madison - these drop off times may need to be adjusted after we've done it a few times and know the timing better. Yes, we do still anticipate hiring a delivery driver in the next few months and then deliveries can be weekly and during the week so we can fit into your meal planning more easily and drop at businesses.
4. It's just launching so links have not yet been repaired on our website and other platforms - you were the FIRST to receive the great news! So, give us a week or so to get everything correctly linked.
5. Please contact us immediately if you have any problems with the new system! We are hoping you love it! (And, if you do, don't be afraid to tell us!) :)

Beef Pot Pie
1 (2 pound) TF Sirloin Tips
Salt and pepper
3 Tablespoons olive oil or TF Lard
4 ounces mushrooms
1 onion, chopped
3 carrots, peeled and cut into ½-inch pieces
2 Tablespoons tomato paste
4 garlic cloves, minced
½ cup dry red wine, or ½ cup water
3 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups beef broth
1 Tablespoon soy sauce
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 bay leaf
1 cup frozen peas
1½ teaspoons chopped fresh thyme, divided
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 (9-inch) store-bought pie dough round or your own made-from-scratch pie crust
1. Heat oven to 350ºF.
2. Heat 1 1/2 Tbls oil or lard over medium high heat, to a dutch oven**. Brown beef cubes for about 7 minutes.
3. Remove beef from pan and reduce heat to medium. Add remaining 1 1/2 Tbls oil or lard. Add mushrooms, onion, and carrots and cook until veg is lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
4. Add tomato paste and garlic and cook for about 30 seconds or until fragrant.
5. Stir in wine (or water) and cook until evaporated. Stir in flour until the veg is coated and cook for 1 minute. Add broth, soy sauce, worcestershire, and bay leaf, until combined. Remember to scrape any bits off the bottom of the pan!
6. Add beef and bring to simmer. Cover and transfer to oven. **(If you don't have a dutch oven, complete above steps in large pot, and transfer to deep casserole dish with cover and bake.) Cook until beef in tender, about 1 hr and 15 minutes.
7. Remove from oven and taste to make sure it's tender to your liking. If it tastes chewy, add 1/4 cup water and cook for another 20 minutes. Once meat is tender, remove from oven and increase oven to 400ºF.
8. Discard bay leaf and stir in thyme (reserve 1/2 tsp thyme for topping) and peas. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
9. Grease a 9 inch pie dish and add meat mixture to it.
10. Top the filling with pie dough so it overhangs the dish slightly. Fold and crimp edges of the pie with your fingers. Slit 1/2 inch air holes in the top. Brush dough with egg wash, sprinkle with salt, pepper, and remaining thyme.
11. Transfer pie to baking sheet and bake until the crust is golden, 20-30 minutes. Let cool for at least 10 minutes. Serve & enjoy!
