2030 GHG Emissions Sector Forecast - Cement Manufacturing

In order to bring an in-depth analysis of the longer term emission scenarios of covered sectors under the WCI cap-and-trade program, CaliforniaCarbon.info has developed a bottom-up econometric emissions model beginning with the cement manufacturing sector. In the coming weeks, we will build upon this sectoral approach to develop a long-run emissions forecast for all covered emissions in the program.

This model will feed into an integrated tri-jurisdiction, 2030 carbon price forecast for the WCI carbon market. This will be the first of its kind forecast, incorporating emissions from all three jurisdictions: California, Quebec and Ontario, and all of their respective emitting sectors.
