Imsak for Fasting (Wajib, Qadha or Mustahab): Imsak is the precautionary time when a momin should begin fasting to ensure that he begins his fast before the exact fajr time. It is the responsibility of the momineen to take the necessary precaution - especially in this case where there are different calculation methods - to ensure they fast prior to the Imsak timing and pray after Fajr begins.

The Fajr prayer timings have been calculated for Masjid AlRasool AlAkram (zip 77099) according to the Leva Research Institute of Qum. Please add 5mins to Fajr as a precautionary measure. For more information, visit our website
