Recently, Lake Elmo Bank and its employees honored Don Raleigh for his 30 years of service. Don joined the Bank in 1986 as President. Under his direction, the bank grew from 30 million in assets to over 330 million in asset size. The Bank moved from its location in the old village of Lake Elmo to a new building on Highway 5. The brick and mortar now includes two branch offices located in Oakdale and Stillwater, and the employee count grew to over 100. Gazette wins 6 state journalism awards
The Stillwater Gazette and staff received six awards in the annual peer-judged Minnesota Newspaper Association contest January 26.
The paper won three first-place awards, including first place in the Freedom of Information category, a competition among all weekly and daily newspapers in the Minnesota Newspaper Association.
