Friends, I look forward to teaching about "student leadership" on Thursday! Here's a reminder – I hope you'll join us and share this with a youth ministry colleague! Also, the time (5pm CST) and my phone number are corrected in the content below.
Try out a YMI class online!
Our friends at Montreat are hosting an online event this Thursday. I'm stoked about this, so I hope you'll log in! I plan on teaching the SAME great information that we offer in our monthly Youth Ministry Institute classes, so this is a great opportunity to try out our Cohort Learning program for free. The event will be about an hour and will begin at 5pm CST on Thursday, February 16. Login instructions are on the Facebook event page.
All youth ministers, pastors, and volunteers are invited!
I'm excited to lead this ministry here in the Midwest and see the difference that exceptional youth ministry can make in the lives of our youth. I plan on sharing from 20 years of experience serving small, mid-size, and large churches in this online "Knowledge Drop."
Please reply to this email or call/text me anytime for advice, networking, or to ask about our Cohort Learning, Coaching, and Consulting services. Thanks! – Matt 913/972.2530
Format, Course Description, and Details
A dynamic youth ministry always has effective student leaders, and some even go on to serve the church vocationally or enroll in seminary. What are some of the keys for cultivating leadership? Matt Vaughan will engage you in a conversation about context, ministry tools, examples, and structure. By being intentional, every youth ministry can have exemplary student leadership!
This is the second in our MYC Knowledge Drop series, dedicated to helping you get the most out of your group's Montreat Youth Conference experience!

YMI is an innovative means of delivering high-quality substantive theological training for those on the front lines of ministry in our culture."

When you sign up for our two-year Cohort Learning program this Spring!
We are receiving many wonderful compliments from youth ministers and clergy for the work Youth Ministry Institute does with youth ministers in helping them become more effective in their role. This work is truly satisfying and is producing results when youth ministers complete our two year program.
The tricky part is always convincing people the investment is worth it before they experience the results. In 2017, we are offering six months of free coaching to anyone who contacts us about the Two-Year Cohort Learning – Training Program this Spring. This doesn't just include monthly coaching. It also includes an on-site Ministry Needs Evaluation resulting in a Strategic Plan for the ministry. It includes a Professional Assessment in developmental objectives for the youth minister.
Coaching gives youth ministers and local churches a head start on their ministry and plans before classes begin on August 28 at Asbury UMC. Contact us today for more information!
