In Autumn and on the Blogs

This past holiday season was extremely trying for me as I found myself in the hospital twice for different emergencies. It was the first time I've ever truly feared for my life, but God used both situations to remind me of His presence and reaffirm my trust in Him. You can read more about those struggles in the current (February) issue of Autumn Magazine.
As a reward for my endurance through my recovery, The Lord blessed me with a new adventure– A week of adaptive downhill skiing with Higher Ground in Sun Valley, Idaho. I wrote all about the healing powers of the mountains on my personal blog.
And in between it all, I've had the privilege of leading two workshops at the S.T.A.R. Centers, helping members discover how to share their recovery stories. It's extremely humbling. See the lessons we've learned together so far on the Brooke's Butterfly Touch blog.

Do you need a speaker at your next event or group meeting? I've presented on many disability/life challenges and independent living related topics at a wide variety of events. All my workshops and presentations can be tailored to your specific needs. My mission is to inspire hope and eliminate stigma, especially for those with limitations in our communities.
Fees are negotiable depending on length and location. See the blog for more details. I'm happy to come to your church, school, conference, business or other organizations!
