ATA invites Motor Carriers to take part in Salaried Employee Compensation Survey.

On behalf of ATA’s Economics Department, please take a moment to complete the 2017 Salaried Employee Compensation Survey. The study will provide the most comprehensive data available on compensation practices in the industry, including salary levels and benefits. Survey participants will receive significant discounts towards the final report, and ATA member participants will receive the published report for free. Those interested in participating can download the survey from the ATA website (an Excel file). For more information on this study or to inquire about becoming a survey participant, carriers can contact ATA’s Economics Research Analyst Nicole D’Agostino.

Driver of the Month nominations

Nominations are being accepted for the March Driver of the Month. This honor is awarded to professional drivers displaying a high degree of professionalism, safety and courtesy while performing their jobs. A panel of independent safety professionals selects the Driver of the Month. Winners are invited to the monthly Safety Management Council meeting to receive their award and recognition items. The driver is featured in our magazine, Nebraska Trucker. The Driver of the Year is selected from among the 12 Drivers of the Month annually. Please complete the form and submit to soconnor@nebtruckingcom.

For the next several weeks,  the 'Need to Know,' Safety Tip of the Week will focus on the ELD Rule as the 12/18/2017 is quickly approaching.

 Did You Know:
If you rent or lease commercial motor vehicles you are not exempt from the ELD rule. Motor carriers or drivers that operate rented or leased commercial motor vehicle are required to record hours of service with an ELD, unless the driver or commercial motor vehicle is exempt from the requirements of the ELD rule.

Trucking Gives Survey

The American Trucking Associations has commissioned the American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) to survey the industry to quantify how much trucking gives to charity each year, and to identify what types of charities the industry supports.Upon receiving the results, the ATA will begin identifying - through a newly established industry foundation - the top charities that best reflect our industry's charitable giving priorities.  ATA will invite industry representatives and elected officials to serve on the foundation Board of Directors and use the foundation to further tell our story and take credit for all the good work you already do.  This new foundation will continue to allow trucking’s voice to be heard. Please take a few minutes to complete the confidential survey below to add your charitable giving to the trucking industry’s total for 2016.  We are collecting not just corporate giving of the industry, but also individual giving, so please encourage your employees to also participate.
