Last Kingdom of Wessex - Shaftesbury
We have a walking holiday called Wonders of Wessex which goes from the medieval city of Salisbury in Wiltshire to the Saxon Hilltop town of Shaftesbury in Dorset.
With a new BBC TV series 'Last Kingdom' due to be shown in the spring, I thought it was a good time to show how the landscapes of our walking holidays feature in this story of the making of England. Starting with the beautiful Dorset town of Shaftesbury.
