Did Someone Say Chocolate?

I love dark rich chocolate. Like many women my go to treat is chocolate. Believing in dark chocolate with maybe some nuts, dried fruit or sea salt. Along with high quality, low sugar and on sale. Having a hidden stash of the good stuff in various locations is a must. Places that others in my household won’t look; underwear drawer, art studio and snack basket at office.

The good news, it’s good for us with in reason. We all have experienced the positive effects on our mood when we eat good chocolate. Other health benefits include; Polyphenols, an antioxidant that helps the body defend against free radicals that contribute to disease, increased cognitive abilities and anti-inflammatory effects.

What’s your favorite chocolate?

Love Yourself More Better

With Valentine's day a week away love is in the air.

Recently I did a presentation called, “Love Yourself More Better.” A little reminder we are the most important person to love. We then have the strength and health to love and love for others. Treat yourself with love and you can accomplish amazing things in your health.

Check In With You
How do you feel?
Any part of your body talking louder than another?

Breath  -  Breathing is highly rated for health. Be aware of your breath softly for seven to ten breaths. Place your hand on your heart as you breath. Breath in on a count of 6, hold for 2 and exhale for 7, ( 6, 2, 7 = 15).

Laugh! - Find something to laugh about. Anything. It will increase your breathing, reduce your stress and exercise your abdominal muscles. One of my all time favorite videos is Lucy Balls at the chocolate factory.

Ear Pull - Reach up and your ears. Gently massage, pull, bend and massage some more. If you notice any sensitive areas spend more time rubbing and massaging them. Your ears are holographic for the body. So massage body through your ears. Do you notice any connection to other part of your body? Maybe a release?

Being-ness of Meditation

The feeling of making heart-to-heart connections produces loving positive healing energy in one’s being. Heart-to-heart connections need to start with us. When I am in meditation, my mind is expanding, releasing, at rest. I feel I am the light. I am in being-ness. This is one of the purest forms of having a heart-to-heart connection with yourself. It is just you. Nothing else exists. Like hiking in the woods, then coming to an opening in the trees to view of an amazing vista.

When we connect truly with ourselves we can connect truly with others. We are the beginning of all that is in our lives. The relationship with ourselves is the only thing we have any true influence on. Every day we have an opportunity to make it count.

When you become the light for yourself, others can see and feel the effects and benefit too.

We have all seen the ripple effect on the surface of a pond or lake when we throw a rock or pebble. This ripple moves across the surface of the water in all directions. Influencing the energy of the water. Even taking a moment to focus on your breath and your heart-to-heart connection will change your energy and your health.

Try this, two or three times a day, or more, focus in on your breath. Have a meditative moment. Better yet check out some of the meditation music or guided meditation on YouTube. Here are a few from my play list. Being-ness starts today.
