It's a new year with new opportunities for ministry!

Trip to Western Suriname
The first trip to Western Suriname in 2017 took place January 6-9. This was a profitable time of teaching and preaching at the congregation in Sand Landing. A highlight of the trip was seeing a young man baptized in the name of Jesus in the Correntyne River! 

Visit from Mom
On January 12 Phillip's mom, Ella Rhoads, arrived in Suriname. It was good to have her with us for almost a month. She traveled with us to Guyana, as well as to various areas in Suriname. Thanks, Mom, for being a blessing in Suriname!

Central Prison Visit
It was great to visit with three contacts in the central prison. These men have all been baptized in Jesus' name and filled with the Holy Ghost. During the allotted time, we were able to teach a lesson on "The Only True God."

Bible School
In January we resumed Bible school classes in Paramaribo. Classes are held each Tuesday, and the current topic of study is Pentecostal Doctrine.

Trip to Guyana
In January we also traveled overland to Georgetown, Guyana. The purpose of the trip was to teach and preach at All Nations Tabernacle, pastored by missionary Steve Smith. While there we had four nights of teaching, and a service on Sunday.
