CHILI COOK-OFF: Our 7th Annual Chili Cook-off & Square Dance with MUSC international friends is right around the corner on Wednesday, February 15 from 6-8 pm in our Fellowship Hall. Get more details here.

Here's how to participate:

1. Make a pot of your best chili and bring it to the church on Wednesday, February 15. Or help provide sour cream, shredded cheese, drinks, cornbread, or chips--if making chili isn't your thing. Use this form to tell the Brewers what you're bringing.
2. Come hang out with internationals, learn to square dance, and enjoy the best chili Redeemer has to offer. Email Morgan Brewer to get a ticket for this event.

WOMEN'S EVENTS: We're offering three opportunities for fellowship and prayer this month:

• The Lord has delivered us so that we may take an active role in seeing His Kingdom grow here in Charleston. If your heart desires to cry out to the Lord for Redeemer--its leaders, ministries, missionaries, marriages, young adults at school and home, our neighborhood, city, nation, and the church universal, come join us for a time of prayer on the second Saturday of every month. The ladies will meet THIS Saturday, February 11 at the church at 7:30 am in the sanctuary.
• The West Ashley Carolina Bay Community Group invites the women of Redeemer to join them for brunch on Sunday, February 19 at 12:15 pm in the Fellowship Hall for a baby shower of blessings honoring Marley McAdams. She's having her first baby girl in the spring, and our Redeemer family has the opportunity to shower her with love, prayers, advice, and blessings. • Got old clothes you’re tired of? Want something new and different? Join the women for an informal clothing swap on Friday night, February 24 from 7-9 in the nursery rooms at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Charleston, SC. Bring your gently used items to contribute, then “shop” for some new stuff. We’ll have clothing, accessories, shoes, men’s clothing, kids’ stuff, maternity, and more! Though we’ll have stuff for everyone in your family, this event is for women only. Bring clothing racks or mirrors to help us display the items, or bring a snack to contribute. LOWCOUNTRY YOUTH GROUP: Redeemer is hosting the February gathering of the Lowcountry Youth Group on Sunday, February 12 from 5-7 pm. Youth in grades 6-12 are invited for an awesome night of fellowship with games, worship, dinner, and time together in the Word of God. RSVP to Mary Chapman, so we can accurately prepare for food. And if you're able, sign up to help provide food for the event.

FOSTER FAMILIES: As you may know, South Carolina is in a crisis regarding foster care and the number of children in need of good foster care homes. If you're interested in learning more about fostering and getting Redeemer families involved, please contact the church office.

LOOKING FOR AN OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE: We have openings for additional teachers and supporting adults with Redeemer’s Youth teams. The middle school (ages 10-13 or grades 5-8) especially has openings. If you're interested in serving with middle school, contact Frankie Bennett at 717-224-0258. For high school, contact Mary Chapman at 843-730-4028.

LOCAL FUNDRAISER: The Lowcountry Pregnancy Center's annual fundraising banquet is planned for Thursday, March 2 at 6:30 pm at Embassy Suites (5055 International Blvd., 29418). PRAYER REQUESTS: Our Session longs to pray for our congregation, and many of you offer your requests on Sundays through the attendance pads. We've also developed a web form for you to submit prayer requests you have during the week. If you'd like prayer, please use this form.
