What's up with the dam coming down?
As we have previously reported, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is scheduled to start partially removing Broomall's Dam on April 30. This month, the DEP Division of Dam Safety will hold a public informational meeting on the partial breach of Broomall's Dam.
Come to learn more about the reasons for the breach, any impact on the park, and restrictions to pedestrian access - both to the park and across 3rd Street. The construction plans will be available for review, and DEP staff will be available for informal questions and discussions, from 6:00 to 6:30. The public informational meeting will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
