Will you write a story detailing how tax money is given to Planned Parenthood in Connecticut?
Did you know they RENOVATED an abortion clinic in New Haven?
No Connecticut publication has covered this angle.
Below is information that can be helpful.

As the Republican controlled Congress seeks to divert funds away from Planned Parenthood across the country, Connecticut taxpayers have been footing the bill for the organization for years, In 2015, they even funded the reconstruction of Planned Parenthood's flagship headquarters and clinic in New Haven.

"While Connecticut defunds healthcare at state hospitals, politicians in Hartford have been constructing abortion clinics to kill babies," says CT Right to Life spokesman Christopher O'Brien

"While businesses are being driven from our state by high taxes, our tax dollars are being used to kill children. It is no wonder that families are leaving Connecticut in droves."

While federal dollars are prohibited for funding abortions, state dollars are not. 61% of respondents in a recent poll oppose taxpayer funds to be used to fund abortions.  Marist poll. Conneticut taxpayers are doing more than that - they'e actually built the facility to perform the abortions in New Haven.

Planned Parenthood of Connecticut received $1,150,097 in FY 2015 from state taxpayers, and an additional $2,357,115 from federal sources. The website USASpending.gov notes that almost $3.6 million was arrested in federal grants to Planned Parenthood, in addition to Medicaid funds in 2015.

O'Brien notes that women will be better served when Congress diverts federal Planned Parenthood dollars to Community Health Centers. "There are over 40 CHC locations across Connecticut sponsored by more than 13 organizations. These offer more choices for women across the state, and have more robust health services than Planned Parenthood currently provides." The abortion giant operates 18 out of 19 abortion facilities in Connecticut. CHC's do not provide abortions. Abortion procedures are eligible for state, but not federal Medicaid funding.
