Armchair travel
Please join us to hear from our guest presenter, Sanjiva Wijesinh talk about the Camimo Trail.

Sanjiva is an Associate Professor at Monash University, surgeon and general practitioner, Major in the Australian Army, inveterate traveller and accomplished author. Educated at the universities of Ceylon and Oxford, he was a surgeon in Sri Lanka and Hong Kong before coming to Australia in 1996 – and now lives in the neighbourhood of Surrey Hills.

In 2011 Dr Wijesinha and his son walked the ancient 800 kilometre pilgrim trail, El Camino de Santiago -from the foothills of the Pyrenees mountains in France to the city of Santiago de Compostela in the west of Spain. The journey provided father and son an opportunity to learn much about the rich cultural and religious history of Spain – and also an opportunity to learn about each other.
We are delighted to have Sanjiva share his story with us and we hope that you can come along to hear about his experiences.
