Beaumont Blast 2/12/17

FATHER DAUGHTER DANCE
Thanks to our Father-Daughter Dance chairs, Lesley Dente, Jill Rios, and Megan Schwartz, who worked tirelessly to make the event a memorable one.  Also, a huge thanks to all the volunteers who came in on Friday and Saturday and transformed Beaumont into a night in Old Hollywood.

START WITH HELLO
Beginning Monday, February 13th to Friday, February 17th, Beaumont Elementary School will be celebrating Start With Hello week! Across the country, hundreds of schools and youth organizations will participate in this program which is designed to encourage inclusion and prevent social isolation. Students will learn that they can create a culture of inclusion and connectedness by simply “starting with ‘hello.’”

JOIN THE BEAUMONT HSA BOARD FOR 2017-18

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES
Elementary conferences are scheduled for Wednesday, March 1st – Friday, March 3rd (8:35-11:55, Kindergarten only; 1:15-3:35, K-4).  Parents will have the opportunity to schedule a conference with their child’s Core or Math teacher.  Special Area teachers will be available for drop-in conferences.

Conferences can be scheduled online using Home Access Center (https://hac.tesd.net/).  While HAC remains open throughout the school year, online conference scheduling will only be available from Friday, February 10th (10:00AM) through Friday, February 17th (11:59PM).  Please call the school’s main office if there are no available conference times for the teacher that you prefer to meet with or if you would like to make any changes after the scheduling window closes.

Instructions for accessing the scheduling system can be found here.  If you have forgotten your HAC username or password, please follow the link on the HAC homepage to recover your login information.  Parents who do not have internet access or who prefer not to schedule online will still have the option of scheduling by phone by contacting the school’s main office.

BEAUMONT AND THE HSA NEED HELP!

Please contact Courtney O'Brien with any questions about the openings below.

1. Creative Volunteers Needed -
We are looking for one volunteer from each grade. This volunteer will work with individual classes in each grade to create a themed art project that will be auctioned off at the Parent Social on February 3.  This should only take one afternoon of your time to go into the classrooms to "paint" your canvas which we will supply. If you are interested, please contact Erin Muhly or Ann McCarthy.

2. Book Fair - We need two additional book fair chairs for the 2017-2018 school year. Please consider joining this fun group to lead the two 📚 book fairs sponsored by the HSA. Both Mary Hashemi and Renee DelViscio will be leaving Beaumont at the end of the school year and will help with the transition.

3. Cultural Arts - For the 2017-2018 school year, we need two volunteers to work together to plan all school assemblies. These people will coordinate schedules, contracts and assembly day details with lead teachers and staff at Beaumont as well as with the assembly providers. Chairs will also attend periodic Delta meetings at Easttown Library. This is a fun and rewarding job that gives chairs an opportunity to bring assemblies into our school and see firsthand the children's enthusiasm and excitement about being exposed to different cultural and art related experiences. Current chairs Alicia Asselta and Lindsey Weber.

4. Pizza Bingo - We need two or more chairs to lead Pizza Bingo for the 2017-2018 school year.  This is a popular event that is fun for all involved.  Current chairs: Katie Galef, Min Lubiniecki, and Angie Polizzi.
