Children's Services Plan event

Everyone’s Children had a great start to February with our Children’s Services Plan consultation event on the 1st which we hosted with the new Citywide Forum and the Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership. There was an excellent turnout on the day with 80 attendees from a variety of third sector organisations. They were able to hear from key speakers about potential contents for the plan as well as sharing their views and experiences. We will be putting out a report on the event, along with copies of the presentations soon.

The Everyone’s Children team would like to thank everyone who came along to participate in the day - we plan to carry on with an exciting and engaging events programme on a range of topics. Have a look at our events section to see what else we have on this month!

The Citywide Forum has launched!

The Children Young People and Families City-wide Forum was launched at the Children’s Services plan event. This was timely as many of the discussions on the day highlighted the need for more collaboration and information sharing within the third sector. Eddie Kane (Barnardo's) spoke on behalf of the Forum steering group and gave background to work that has been done so far in developing the Forum, emphasising that it is still in its early stages.

The City-wide Forum is open to any third sector organisation working in Glasgow that provides services to children, young people and families. At the moment, the Citywide Forum will use the Everyone's Children newsletter and mailing list to publicise its events. In the future, the Forum will have its own communication strategy. If you would like to join the Citywide Forum and receive information about its activities, please ask to join the Forum mailing list by emailing Lisa at lisa.wright@gcvs.org.uk
