ALICE Newsletter
ALICE launches its newsletter to keep members and non members updated on ALICE activities and developments. We hope you enjoy it so much that you share it with your peers and colleagues!
In the launching newsletter, we include:
  • ALICE Chair, Sergio Barbarino, opinion on public research and innovation investment.
  • ALICE recomendations for the next calls for projects funder under Horizon 2020 Program (2018-2020)
  • Two major events, IPIC in 2017 and TRA in 2018, where we will have the opportunity to share and get to know key advances in the field of freight transport and logistics.

Do we need public money to fund a breakthrough in logistics?

The answer is yes, but not in form of subsidies. We need first and foremost a clear vision, concrete objectives and a strategy to get there. only then you can start a discussion on funding. Logistics Collaborative Innovation Days
The European Commission organize a series of events on selected "clouds" where collaborative innovation is key to address challenges and opportunities competitiviness and sustainability of freight transport and logistics. ALICE is glad to support this innitiative.
The objectives of these events for ALICE are: to review industry achievements in the past years, share knowledge, future vision, plans and collaboration opportunities aiming cross-fertilization amongst stakeholders, past and running R&I projects.
The foreseen "clouds" are:
      - Carbon Footprint Reduction, Brussels, 31st March.
      - Digitalization, Data Sharing and Trust , Brussels, 25th April
      - Urban Freight and Logistics, Brussels, 23rd May


Past and running R&I projects adressing these topics are welcome to share their findings, experience and learnings. Invitations will be issued shortly. Due to the limited available seats we recomend you to contact ALICE Secretariat for further information and expression of interest in participation at info@etp-alice.eu.
